The future of work in hospitality
We believe that you’re at your best when you’re empowered to decide when and where you work.
By joining the limber community, you’ll have the freedom to mix and match your shifts at different venues.
By working in this way, you can make more time for the other passions in your life – whether that’s your friends, your hobbies or career.
Over time, you’ll build yourself the profile, reputation and relationships with venues that you need to be your own boss.
To start working on limber simply download the limber app from your app store.
4 Steps to
become a limberer
First, you’ll need to sign up and create your profile on limber. You’ll need your passport/right to work docs and national insurance number to hand. You’ll also need to create a great limber profile to show off your previous experience and skills.
Finally, make sure you send off endorsement requests to your previous employers.
Once your account has been verified, you can browse and apply to as many shifts as you like. You can also browse through the various hiring venues on limber and introduce yourself or share your upcoming availability with them.
Once you get accepted onto a shift, you’ll receive a notification and you’ll be able to chat to the hirer to make sure things go smoothly.
After a shift well done, just fill out your timesheet and make sure you rate the employer and you’ll be paid the following Friday.
You’ll also get a rating after each shift so that hirers know you’re great at what you do. You can build a fantastic profile by getting good ratings and then you’ll be able to have the pick of whichever shifts you want to work.
The key to having a fantastic lifestyle on limber is joining hirers’ teams. That way, you’ll get first choice of their shifts and you can automatically accept them whenever they come up. You’ll be able to build up list of your favourite venues and move between them depending on their shift availability.
A hirer can add you to their team after any completed shift.
Flexible & ethical
limber lets you build relationships with your favourite businesses whilst allowing you to work flexibly. Instead of relying on one employer to provide you with work, you’ll be able to make up your hours by working with multiple hirers – using different skills at different venues.
On limber, there are no interviews or trial shifts and you’ll be paid for every second you work.
When you work through limber you have legal status as a ‘worker’, giving you entitlement to at least minimum wage, holiday pay and a pension whilst allowing you to work flexibly and on your own terms.
Fair rating system
The limber rating system is two way.
The ratings you get help you showcase your skills and make it easier for you to get the shifts you want. The ratings you give hirers help them improve their business and also help the rest of the limber community make informed decisions about where they choose to work
But ratings aren’t the be all and end all. You can showcase your achievements to hirers via your profile.
The important thing for the limber community is trust and mutual respect. With that, we believe we can change the way we all work and hire for the better
